Should you be excited by S25 lineup?

Tomorrow is the day that many Samsung’s fan are waiting since months, if not since a whole year, the 2025 January’s Galaxy Unpacked. Not the one about that foldable that you’ll never buy or that ring that you will wear 3 times before forgetting in the drawer.

This is THE GALAXY UNPACKED! The one that shows off the new shining Samsung main lineup, the Galaxy Ultra smartphones, the best of the technology that a huge company like Samsung has to offer for this year and probably for some more also. The top tiers, the premium line, the masterpiece, the result of years of research, market studies, technology improvements.

The only, small, tiny problem is that this year the new S25 lineup is going to be a candidate for the most underwhelming device of the year.

About Samsung and Apple Ecosystems

As an old school Linux user, I always struggled to keep myself enclosed into a unique ecosystem. While a piece of me looks forward for the convenience of moving the mouse between two devices and copy/paste smoothly, that young boy looking for personalization and tinkering is still there and acts like a whisper in my ear telling that choosing a company to stick with is not what we were dreaming about.

Because this is where we go when picking an ecosystem to stick with,  we are literally picking a company, we are putting our beliefs in their long term plans and their willing to allow us to do more with their devices.

So, before sharing my impressions on the ecosystems, let me share how Apple and Samsung have grown on me as companies.
